Rural Touring Mentoring Scheme 2015

CRTA are very pleased to again be working with PANDA (Performing Arts Network Development Agency) and 6 other rural touring schemes to provide artists new to rural touring, the opportuntiy to receive support and mentoirng in bringing their work to the rural touring circuit.

PANDA are pleased to offer the opportunity to participate in this successful scheme in 2015, which enables PANDA members to pitch and gain feedback and development support from a panel of Rural Touring Scheme Managers and Promoters.  Evolved from previous schemes, PANDA are this year partnering 7 Rural Touring Networks from across the Midlands and the North of England. This year CRTA  will be hosting the pitching day in Chester.

  • Introduction to panel of programmers, managers and promoters of rural touring circuit
  • Support to develop a professional pitch & full development support proposal following pitch
  • Learning about other artists work and gaining a new peer support network
  • Ongoing mentoring opportunity from rural touring managers, artists and/or PANDA
  • Potential seed funding towards development of your work
  • Potential inclusion in future rural venue programmes

This year, following the ‘pitch’ or ‘sharing’ event, artists, programmers and PANDA will create a bespoke mentoring package which may include a commission towards further development and touring of the work in partnership with the consortium.
