CRTA Promoters Information
CRTA are incredibly grateful to have a team of dedicated volunteer promoters from Cheshire’s community centres, village halls, libraries, and cultural and educational venues. With the purpose of improving access, bringing people together, and improving wellbeing through creativity and performance, promoters select and host shows for their communities each season.
Participation in creative and cultural activities can be instrumental in helping people and communities to overcome poverty, social exclusion, and health inequalities, “build skills”, “improve social mobility” and “solve problems” (European Union, DCMS Commons Committee Inquiry, WHO, The Borgen Project). Creativity can also ‘relieve both stress and anxiety’ and ‘make new neuropathways’, build emotional resilience, lower the risk of dementia and much more! (Cleveland Clinic and Very Well Mind).
Promoters at the venues provide a warm welcome for artists, providing hospitality during their visit.
The costs of a performance are heavily subsidised by the CRTA but promoters will be asked to provide a smaller fee for the company. Any further profits from the performance are then split evenly between the host venue and the CRTA.
CRTA has a wide range of venues across East and West Cheshire. Currently this includes:
