Common Lore

“I’m Scarlet, 18. I live round here. Wear red, well read.  Young bones, old head.”‘Common Lore’ is an exciting fusion of spoken word, projections and live electronic music. A modern take on traditional stories, this unique and relevant show sees Fairy Tales and modern life collide! An inventive, fast-paced reinvention of traditional theatre, technology and spoken word – all performed by one young woman (and her mobile phone!)

Meet Scarlet, as she reinvents the childhood stories told to her by her nan in her own unique way.

‘Common Lore’ is a new show and the result of a commission from the CRTA/Spot On libraries project developed for audiences of all ages but especially aimed to appeal to young adults.

“Witty, engaging and interesting.” “Original, fast and very engaging.” Audience members, January 2018
